world’s Most Expensive Castle

World's Most Expensive Castle - Castle Dracula
While every medieval fortress is a treasure trove of history, some are such cultural icons that they are virtually priceless. England’s Tower of London and Windsor Castle are such landmarks, and merely suggesting a price tag for either of those would be unthinkable.
Not so is Bran Castle in Romania. Archduke Dominic von Habsburg, a New York architect and grandson of King Ferdinand I of Romania, put the castle up for sale in 2007. It is historically important as a the home of Romainian royalty, including Ferdinand’s wife, Queen Marie. It was seized by Romania’s communist regime in 1948 and only recently retroceded to Archduke Dominic.
You may know Bran Castle by a different name, after a more infamous occupant. It’s also called Castle Dracula.
Its association with Count Dracula is tenuous. The castle was briefly occupied in 1459 by Vlad III, the historical figure on whom Bram Stoker’s famous vampire was based.
While the Archduke’s original asking price was a mere $78 million, and even then he would only sell with the promise that the castle would be treated with due respect, the New York investment firm expected to sell it for over $135 million. That asking price would have made it the most expensive castle in the world.
The sale never happened, however, and the Archduke has instead turned Castle Bran into a museum dedicated to Queen Marie and the royal family.

Most Expensive Record

Have you ever heard of The Quarrymen? No? Well, it may shock you to find out that that a vanity record pressed by this group is worth something like £100,000 ($200,000 USD). Even more surprising, the world’s most expensive record is a single—a cover of Buddy Holly’s “That’ll Be the Day.”
World’s most expensive record
If you’re wondering how a cover by a nobody band could be worth so much, perhaps it’d help to know that three of the band’s members went on to form three quarters of the legendary pop rock group, The Beatles. Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison are all featured on the most expensive record, along with fellow Quarrymen Colin Hanton and John “Duff” Lowe.
Most members of the band attended Quarry Banks grammar school, from which they derived the name. The band lasted until 1958, when Lowe and Hanton left the group. After that, the group went through several names before settling on The Beatles.
Sir Paul McCartney still owns the world’s most expensive record. Record Collector, a magazine, arrived at the £100,000 figure through information from experts, collectors and dealers.
The expensive single also contains an original B-side by McCartney and Harrison, “In Spite of All the Danger.”

World’s Most Expensive Movie Posters

A movie poster collection may be anything from an extension of another hobby to a sign of serious passion for film history. One buyer may be willing to pay $10 or $20 for an original “Fellowship of the Ring” one-sheet while another pays $47,000 for one of the few remaining “Grand Hotel” posters. With the latter type of collector in mind, we turn to the most expensive movie posters in the world.
World’s Most Expensive Movie Posters - Metropolis
“Metropolis” – $690,000
A private collector acquired this expensive movie poster at auction from the Austrian National Library in Vienna in 2005. Only three other copies of the poster are known to have survived to the current day—one in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, another in a private collection and a second copy in the Austrian National Library. The expensive poster was created to promote Fritz Lang’s 1927 science fiction masterpiece, “Metropolis.”
The German film, set in the year 2026, dealt with the schism between two societal castes in the film’s titular city—the wealthy thinkers and planners, and the underground working class. The film cost roughly $14 million to make, adjusted for inflation, and was the most expensive silent movie at the time of its release. Sadly, much of the original footage has been lost and it cannot be viewed in its intended form.
“The Bride of Frankenstein” – estimated at $700,000
World's Most Expensive Movie Posters - The Bride of Frankenstein
Heritage Auctions expects to sell this teaser one-sheet, the only surviving poster of its kind, at their Beverly Hills Signature Movie Poster Auction in November, 2010. The poster comes from the Collection of Todd Feiertag, likely the largest collection of vintage horror movie posters of all time.
“The Bride of Frankenstein” is the sequel to the original 1931 “Frankenstein,” starring Boris Karloff as Frankenstein’s monster. In the film, the monster coerces his humbled creator into creating another monster to serve as his mate. The film cost just under $400,000 to produce, or around $6 million in today’s currency.

Saree, the sexiest dress for women

The Indian tradational dress "Sarry" is the sexiest dress I've ever seen. It covers the things it wants to at the same time uncovers the sexiest curves. Some of the pictures here will tell you the real story.
A sari or saree is the traditional female garment in India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.[1] It is also still worn in Pakistan by some women. A sari is a very long strip of unstitched cloth, ranging from four to nine metres in length, which can be draped in various styles. The most common style is for the sari to be wrapped around the waist, with one end then draped over the shoulder baring the midriff.[1] The sari is usually worn over a petticoat (pavada/pavadai in the south, and shaya in eastern India), with a blouse known as a choli or ravika forming the upper garment. The choli has short sleeves and a low neck and is usually cropped, and as such is particularly well-suited for wear in the sultry South Asian summers. Cholis may be "backless" or of a halter neck style. These are usually more dressy with a lot of embellishments such as mirrors or embroidery and may be worn on special occasions.Women in the armed forces, when wearing a sari uniform, don a half-sleeve shirt tucked in at the waist.

Outstanding Wall Clocks

What Kind Of Wall Clocks Are Best For You?

There are many uses for a wall clock than just simply telling the time. A lot of people use wall clocks as a stylish way to decorate their homes. The clock itself just adds luxury to the room and gives the overall space an elegant appeal. While some people choose using these clocks for decoration purposed, others simply collect wall clock that is considered to be antique. They hold on to these particular clocks over a certain amount of time and resell them once they have gone up in value. Rather you are searching for wall clock to add to the décor of your home or to add to your collection, there are many types of clocks to choose from.
Antique wall clocks are some of the most popular clocks from this category. It is usually relatively easy to distinguish an antique wall clock from the more modern clocks. The antique clocks usually have roman numerals verses actual numbers. As mentioned earlier, these are the types of clock that most people choose to collect. These clocks are extremely valuable and depending on the type, can bring collectors lots of money. An example of a popular antique wall clock is the Grandfather Clock. These are very beautiful clocks that are very much as handsome as they are valuable. Additional physical traits of antique clocks include sharp and curvy pointed hands. The more expensive and older clocks also have swinging pendulum.
Modern types of clocks are designed to abandon the more traditional look of most clocks. These are great clocks for people who tend to think outside the box when it comes to decorating their homes. They are somewhat revolutionary in looks and style. Since these types of clocks aren’t meant to tell time, it is unusually hard to tell time with them.
For the fashion and modern-day enthusiasts, there is the Retro wall clock. These wall clocks are literally created to take the appearance and form of just about anything that is a product of popular culture. There are clock that look like cats, dogs, and other notable figures in popular culture. These clocks are used as not only for quirky decoration purposes but also as a form of entertainment. There are retro clocks crated that resemble popular movie characters, popular foods, and some that represents popular culture icons. While these types of clocks aren’t necessarily an antique collector’s favorite, the right clock that represents the right piece of history can be worth quite a little money. But ideally, these clocks are just made to take decoration in a more exciting direction.
Contemporary wall clocks are another type of popular clocks. These are some of the most purchased clocks. A large amount of these clocks are analog clocks. Although most of these clocks are analog clocks, it is not uncommon for a contemporary wall clock to have a digital display as an addition. There are also some clocks that contain roman numerals, but they still have a contemporary feel with a more modern font face. This is a great clock for decoration purposes. Since they are so great for decorating, they continue to be some of the most sought after clocks.
Decorative wall clocks are made for one purpose: decoration. If you are looking for a wall clock to decorate your home and something extra to a certain room, these are the right wall clocks for you. These clocks are meant to add flare to any room in the house and make everything else in correlate to the existing theme in the room. It is important that decorators understand that these clocks must be used to fit in with the existing theme of the room. Purely meant as a little eye candy, the functionality of these clocks is unimportant. These types of clocks come in a variety of styles and looks to decorate a large variety of homes and rooms. Next to antique clocks, these are some of the most expensive wall clocks. Characteristics of these types of clocks include sophisticated designs on the face and some play beautiful melodies every hour. This type of lavish wall clock can be found in the high end furniture stores.
In addition to these types of wall clocks, there are many different types used for all kinds of purposes. There are also neon clocks that are used to add light to the wall and are only used for functionality. Some wall clocks are made to advertise businesses by using company logos and mascots. There is even wall clock that resembles a popular sports team and allow sports fans to decorate their homes with their favorite teams. Whatever wall clock you choose; there are plenty of styles, size, shapes, and colors that can work for you.
